CANFIELD, Ohio – The 30th annual Window World Golf Classic brought together golfers, sponsors and community supporters, raising $101,265 to support the ministries of Ursuline Sisters Mission and Beatitude House.

The milestone tournament was held in June at The Lake Club in Poland.

The tournament began in the mid-1990s when Joe and Linda Vivacqua organized a golf outing inspired by Ursuline Sister Margaret Scheetz, founder of Beatitude House. Scheetz envisioned a ministry that would provide housing and support for women and children experiencing homelessness. Today, Beatitude House continues that mission by providing individuals and families with safe, fully furnished housing along with supportive services, educational opportunities and enrichment programs for both adults and children.

Over the years, the tournament grew through the support of Linda’s brother, Pat Moran, and her father, Fred Moran, through their partnership with Window World of Youngstown. Today, the Moran and Vivacqua families continue that tradition, with the third generation continuing their commitment.

“Thirty years ago, my brother-in-law, Joe Vivacqua, and my sister, Linda Vivacqua, started what has become an incredible golf outing,” said Pat Moran, owner of Window World of Youngstown. “It began at Tanglewood Golf Course, moved to Bedford Trails for many years and since 2021 has been held at The Lake Club.”

Moran said the event’s growth is a reflection of the generosity of the community.

“I’m proud to say it has grown into one of the Valley’s premier outings, raising over $100,000 annually in recent years for Ursuline Sisters Mission,” he said. “We are truly blessed to live in a community like this – one where people come together and give so generously.”

For Sister Patricia McNicholas, donor relations director for Ursuline Sisters Mission, the 30-year partnership represents more than a successful fundraiser.

“The partnership between the Moran family and the Ursuline Sisters has been a tremendous blessing, both to me personally and to the many families who have benefited from the golf outing proceeds and the Moran family’s generous personal contributions,” she said.

“Their kindness and commitment have made a meaningful difference throughout the Valley, and we are grateful for the opportunity to work with them year after year. We look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.”

The proceeds from this year’s tournament will support Ursuline Sisters Mission and its ministries, including Beatitude House.

The tradition will continue in 2027, with the 31st annual Window World Golf Classic scheduled for July 19 at The Lake Club. More information about registration and sponsorship opportunities will be announced in early 2027.
