YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Window World Penn-Ohio, which serves communities throughout Youngstown, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Akron, the Upper Ohio Valley and Toledo, received two honors at the 2026 Window World Family Reunion.
The awards recognize both the organization’s commitment to its communities and the lasting impact of longtime Window World owner Fred Moran, a news release states.
Window World Penn-Ohio was presented with the Community Impact Award, which recognizes a Window World organization for making a meaningful impact in the communities it serves through charitable giving, volunteerism and community involvement.
“We are incredibly humbled and overwhelmed to receive such a prestigious award,” said Mandi Moran, marketing director at Window World Penn-Ohio. “Giving back has never been about recognition for us. We do it because our communities have given so much to our company, our employees and our families. They have supported us and allowed us to grow, and we believe it is our responsibility to give that support back.”
Across its six markets, Window World Penn-Ohio focuses much of its community involvement on four key areas: basic needs, veterans, education and healthcare. Through donations, volunteerism, sponsorships and partnerships with local organizations, the company works to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, the release states.
“Our communities aren’t simply where we do business – they are where we live, work and raise our families,” Moran said. “We love these communities, and receiving this award only motivates us to continue finding new ways to support the people and organizations doing incredible work throughout our region.”
Fred Moran was presented with the Legacy Award, recognizing his longstanding commitment to Window World and the impact he has made throughout the organization over the past 23 years.
Throughout his time with Window World, Fred Moran has shared his experience and knowledge with others while remaining committed to the principles and values that have helped the organization grow, the release states.
The recognition also honors his dedication to Window World Cares, Window World’s charitable foundation and mission of giving back to children and families in need.
“My grandpa has always believed that success means more than what you accomplish for yourself,” Moran said. “It is also about what you do for other people, whether that is helping another owner succeed, supporting your employees or giving back to your community. To see him recognized for the impact he has made throughout Window World and for his commitment to Window World Cares was incredibly special for our entire family and team.”
