YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Covelli Centre will turn 20 years old Oct. 29 and will celebrate the event with a photo contest in which visitors can share their memories from the arena.

The grand prize is two tickets for 10 shows in 2026.

Since opening its doors in late 2005, the downtown arena has hosted thousands of concerts, sporting events and community celebrations, bringing millions of visitors to the city and helping fuel downtown revitalization.

Over the past two decades, artists such as Elton John, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Kid Rock have taken the Covelli stage, creating memories that have defined Youngstown’s modern entertainment scene.

“From world-class concerts and community fundraisers to events like Panerathon and Y-Live, the Covelli Centre has played an essential role in downtown Youngstown’s revitalization,” said Jamie DeFrank, marketing manager for the Covelli Centre and JAC Live. “This anniversary isn’t just about looking back – it’s about celebrating how this venue continues to bring people, energy and opportunity to our city.”

The 20 Years of Memories photo contest invites fans to share their favorite photos and stories from past events.

The grand prize is a pair of club-level tickets to 10 shows in 2026 (the shows must be mutually agreed upon between the winner and Covelli Centre).

Submissions will be accepted from Friday through 11:45 p.m. Nov. 9 at CovelliCentre.com.
