YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – As part of its new Lessons in Leadership speaker series, Leadership Mahoning Valley will launch its Women’s Leadership Network with a luncheon event May 9.
The Work-Life Balance – Is it Possible? event, which is open to the public, will be held at 11 a.m. at The Lake Club, 1140 Paulin Road, Poland.

The workshop will focus on how women often find themselves juggling multiple roles – professionals, caregivers, partners, leaders – without adequate time to prioritize their own well-being. The workshop is designed specifically for women who are seeking practical tools to achieve a healthier work-life balance and avoid the physical and mental consequences of chronic stress.
Led by experienced professionals in wellness, mental health and career development, the workshop will include audience participation and is designed to be a safe and supportive space for women.
Topics will include:
- The hidden costs of imbalance: chronic fatigue, burnout, anxiety and other health risks.
- How to identify early warning signs of mental and physical exhaustion.
- Strategies to set boundaries and prioritize self-care without guilt.
- Time management and energy alignment techniques tailored for women’s lives.
The event will be facilitated by Maria Stevens, owner of Maria Stevens Coaching and Consulting. She is a leadership development coach and consultant dedicated to helping individuals and organizations achieve their full potential. With nearly 30 years of experience, she specializes in executive coaching, team building and communication training.

Presenters will include Francine Packard, director of Student Counseling Services at Youngstown State University, and Ruth M. Bowdish, managing director of On Demand Healthcare.
Registration and networking will begin at 11 a.m., followed by lunch and the program. The event will conclude by 1 p.m. The cost is $40 per person. Register HERE.
