Woodland Estate in Liberty is poised for growth in 2026 as demand for premium, full-service event venues rises across northeastern Ohio, co-owner Dani Wilson reports.
Dani and Nate Wilson, owners of Woodland Cellars, a Hubbard-based winery, purchased the 27-acre property from the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown in 2020. Following extensive restoration, renovations and the addition of a new ballroom, Woodland Cellars’ wine production and operations moved fully to Woodland Estate in 2025.
Woodland Estate features a 19th-century Greek Revival mansion alongside Woodland Manor, an event center offering six entertaining spaces, a private bridal lounge and a 6,400-square-foot ballroom capable of accommodating up to 400 guests.
This year, Woodland Estate will enter an exclusive partnership with Medure’s Catering, one of the region’s leading culinary providers, Wilson says.
“This collaboration reinforces Woodland Estate’s commitment to turnkey hospitality, allowing clients to focus on their guests while the venue and culinary teams deliver a cohesive, high-quality experience,” she remarks.
Notable challenges in 2025 included inflation and rising property taxes, while shifting consumer preferences led many couples to opt for smaller, more intimate celebrations.
As a growing business with a lean team, the estate also experienced the natural growing pains of expanding services on a limited budget.
Despite these headwinds, 2026 performance already is meeting growth targets, with 2027 bookings trending strongly ahead of schedule, Wilson says.
Looking ahead, Woodland Estate is prioritizing system upgrades to streamline operations and create a more interactive, user-friendly experience for both clients and venue partners, she adds.
