MERCER, Pa. – Grant funding can be an underused resource for manufacturers, in part because identifying available opportunities and competing for them can be challenging.
A free workshop will help manufacturers identify and pursue grant funding for business growth, operational improvements, workforce initiatives, technology adoption and energy-related projects.
The Lawrence Mercer Manufacturers Coalition is among the sponsors of the ARC ARISE Energy Grant Workshop for Manufacturers, hosted by Catalyst Connection and regional partners Sept. 10 at Westminster College.
Participants will hear from manufacturers that have successfully secured funding, take part in small-group discussions with funding experts and learn strategies for preparing competitive grant applications.
The workshop will begin with registration and a continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m.
The agenda includes an overview of manufacturing grant opportunities, interactive breakout discussions featuring a grant recipient panel and question-and-answer session, facilitated small-group discussions and information about funding resources and next steps.
An optional workshop, Energy Efficiency for Everyone, will follow from 10 to 11:45 a.m. It will focus on reducing energy costs through energy assessments, efficiency improvements, technical assistance and funding opportunities that can help offset the cost of energy-saving projects.
