Yellen to Speak at NABE Conference in Cleveland
CLEVELAND – Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen will be among the speakers at the National Association for Business Economics’ annual meeting Sept. 23 through 26 at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown.
The theme of this year’s meeting is “Prospects for Growth: Reassessing the Fundamentals.” Joining Yellen will be Cleveland Clinic CEO Toby Cosgrove, Marathon Petroleum Corp. CEO Gary Heminger, Cleveland Fed President Loretta Mester and KeyCorp CEO Beth Mooney, among others.
“At NABE’s 59th Annual Meeting, we’ll debate the future of work, new business models, the productivity puzzle and the role of business economists in an innovation-and-tech-driven economy,” said association President Stuart Mackintosh in a release. “Our speakers will cover broad, globe-spanning topics, including the drivers of political shifts across advanced economies, fixing global finances and the outlook for the global supply chain. We’ll also hear about development in the finance, energy and health-care sectors from some of Ohio’s most prominent CEOs.”
