YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Yosteria restaurant is proposing to build a winery building and an event pavilion on its property at 252 Valley St. in the Smokey Hollow neighborhood, near downtown.

The restaurant and winery is owned by Alex Zordich. It is located in an older existing house and has an outdoor seating area behind it.

Both structures would have black metal siding and roofing and black garage doors, according to the notice Zordich filed with the city’s design review committee. The committee will discuss the proposal at its meeting Tuesday.

Site preparation would require the removal of trees and brush.

The winery would be a rectangular structure to the northeast of the house and joined with the existing outdoor seating area with gravel.

The event pavilion would be a rectangular structure east of the house and would include the addition of an outdoor bocce court.
