CANFIELD, Ohio — What began as a small, basement T-shirt venture has grown into a decade-long business rooted in regional identity, according to Matt McClure of Youngstown Clothing Co.
McClure says the company, now marking its 10th year, evolved from early pop-up events to a mall presence and, ultimately, its own storefront. Its designs draw on shared local experiences — from food traditions to the area’s industrial heritage — while fostering a sense of connection among residents and those who have moved away.
He added that partnerships with local businesses and charitable initiatives have been a key part of that growth, helping the company maintain strong ties to the community that supports it.
