YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – After a comprehensive national search, Youngstown Country Club has named Nate Frick its new golf course superintendent.

“From the outset, our goal was to identify a leader who not only brings technical expertise but also shares our commitment to excellence and the future of Youngstown Country Club,” said Scott Schulick, president of Youngstown Country Club. “Nate distinguished himself throughout every stage of the process. His experience, energy and vision made him the clear choice to guide our course forward.”

Frick graduated from Delaware Valley University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in turfgrass management. He also competed as a four-year collegiate golfer.

Frick previously served as senior assistant superintendent at Somerset Hills Country Club, where he gained extensive experience in course conditioning, irrigation systems and team leadership. His background also includes roles at Pikewood National Golf Club, Wianno Golf Club and Wannamoisett Country Club.

Since arriving at Youngstown Country Club, Frick has begun laying the groundwork for the upcoming season, focusing on both operational improvements and on-course conditions. Initial efforts have included reorganizing and improving efficiency within the maintenance facility, as well as early-season work addressing tree management, debris cleanup and drainage challenges on the course.

“I am honored to serve as golf course superintendent at Youngstown Country Club and excited for the opportunity ahead,” Frick said. “From the moment I arrived, it was clear there was something special here. My team and I are focused on building a strong foundation for the 2026 season and delivering a golf experience that reflects the pride and tradition of this club.”
