Youngstown Marathon Foundation Awards Beneficiaries
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Marathon Foundation recently awarded Diva Donations, Project MKC and Youngstown Blue Coats as its 2024 beneficiaries.
Each year the foundation chooses beneficiaries to be awarded from funds raised through the Youngstown Half Marathon, 5K and relay.
Local nonprofit organizations submit applications before the race, and the foundation board chooses beneficiaries based on community outreach and impact.
Each beneficiary received $6,500, the largest amount per beneficiary to be disbursed by the foundation since its 2017 inception, a news release states.
Second Sole was the foundation sponsor. Akron Children’s Hospital sponsored the Kids’ Run, and Huntington Bank was a platinum sponsor.
The foundation plans to raise the bar even higher for 2025 and extend its reach further into the community, the release states.
