YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Mayor Derrick McDowell will be the keynote speaker at the Youngstown Press Club’s annual meeting and dinner April 13.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave.
McDowell, a South Side native and Chaney High School graduate, is the founder of the Youngstown Flea, a monthly artisans market downtown. He also founded Hola Fest Youngstown, a Hispanic heritage and cultural celebration.
McDowell has served as community engagement and inclusion coordinator for Wean Park and the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre and spent 12 years in corporate leadership at AT&T.
The cost for the event is $50 for press club members and $60 for nonmembers. Preregistration is required by April 3.
