Youngstown Symphony Hosts ‘Picnic at the Pops’ Aug. 12

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Led by conductor Randall Craig Fleischer, the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra will perform outdoors Aug. 12 for Picnic at the Pops.

The concert, held on Symphony Place on the western end of downtown, will begin at 5 p.m. Gates will open at 2:30 p.m. If it rains, the concert will be moved indoors to DeYor Performing Arts Center.

Those attending are welcome to bring their own picnic baskets, though carry-in beverages are not permitted. Drinks will be available for sale inside the gates from food vendors.

Among the entertainment will be a chalk walk and an instrument petting zoo. Supplies will also be available for kids to make their own instruments, which they are invited to play during the concert.
