BOARDMAN, Ohio – Executive Club 408 Toastmasters Youngstown has elected its new executive team for the July 2026 to July 2027 year.
Members of this year’s team are Angela R. Johnson, president; Martha Constant, vice president of education; Sharla Haun, vice president of public relations; Rayshonne Phillips, vice president of membership; Queenie Oliver, secretary; Chad Justice, treasurer; and Debbie Larson, sergeant-at-arms.
Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization founded in 1924. It teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs, helping individuals from all backgrounds become more confident communicators.
Executive Club 408 Toastmasters Youngstown turns 60 this year and is one of the longest-standing clubs in Ohio.
In the 2025-26 year, under the leadership of Phillips, the members achieved the newly created highest honor, the Smedley Award, named after Toastmasters founder Ralph Smedley. Phillips won three speech contests, qualifying her to compete at the district level, where she earned third place.
The club meets from 6:45-8:45 p.m. every Monday at 8381 Market St. Guests are welcome to attend and are invited to participate in certain parts of the meetings.
