YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and the Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce are having conversations about working closer together.
According to a press release from the Regional Chamber, it has approached Columbiana’s chamber organization to begin the conversation and called it “early and open-ended exploration.”
“We are looking at how a potential partnership might allow us to better support our members, enhance our services and strengthen the broader business community in our region,” the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s announcement states.
“What guides us in these discussions is a shared belief: by exploring collaborative opportunities, both Chambers may be able to grow stronger and deliver even more value to you – our members.
A Facebook post Thursday afternoon indicated that, effective July 31, the Columbiana chamber’s executive director position, currently held by Bridget Wolsonovich, will be “temporarily paused” and steps are being taken “to secure the Chamber’s long-term financial health.”
Prior to the announcements, the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber had announced a Good Morning, Columbiana event scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Aug. 15 at Riser’s Tavern on the Links at Firestone Farms.
“Both Chambers remain fully committed to delivering the business services and programs that you value and rely on,” the Regional Chamber’s release states.
