WARREN, Ohio – Guy Coviello, president and CEO of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, discussed the Youngstown-Warren region’s designation as the hottest real estate market in the United States, calling it a sign that long-anticipated economic growth is taking hold.
Coviello said the recognition reflects years of progress, noting that what local leaders identified as a “generational opportunity” is now becoming reality as job growth, population gains and housing demand rise together.
He pointed to significant increases in home values in the region compared with national trends, along with broader migration patterns driving people from higher-cost coastal and Sun Belt markets to more affordable Midwestern communities.
Coviello said the region’s collaborative approach to economic development — involving multiple agencies and organizations working together — has played a key role in attracting new residents and investment.
While challenges remain, including the need for more housing development and infrastructure, he said the area is well-positioned for continued growth and offers strong opportunities for businesses and individuals considering relocation.
