YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown State University Bitonte College of Health and Human Services has announced the full schedule of speakers and activities for the Wellness Across the Lifespan Health Fair.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Southern Park Mall in Boardman and will feature educational talks, hands-on demonstrations, interactive activities and free resources designed to promote health, fitness, wellness and preventive care for individuals and families.

Speakers and topics include:

  • 10:15 a.m.: Mental Health with Lacie Brubaker, LPCC.
  • 11 a.m.: Managing Arthritis with Rebecca Riblet, assistant professor, graduate studies in health and rehabilitation sciences.
  • 11:45 a.m.: Food is Medicine with Jeanine Mincher, professor, health professions.
  • 12:30 p.m.: Accurate Sources of Health Information with Lauren Iaguli, public health.
  • 1:30 p.m.: Social Media and Child/Teen Mental Health with Sherry Thistlewaite and YSU counseling students.
  • 2:30 p.m.: All About Concussions with Erin Shilling, assistant professor, graduate studies in health and rehabilitation sciences, and Alan Koren, assistant professor, graduate studies in health and rehabilitation sciences.

Demonstrations and activities include:

  • 10:30 a.m.: Yoga with Theresa Minich (chair option available).
  • 12:30 p.m.: Cooking demonstration: Healthy Wraps with Mincher and YSU students.
  • 1:10 p.m.: 10-minute kids warm-up stretch with YSU students.
  • 1:30 p.m.: Kids obstacle course (ages 3 to 12) or punt/pass/kick in DeBartolo Commons with physical therapy, exercise science and athletic training students.

The Wellness Across the Lifespan Health Fair is free and open to the public.
