YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State University will launch new commercial driver’s license and aviation programs through a partnership with the Western Reserve Port Authority. The programs, formerly offered by the now-closed Eastern Gateway Community College, aim to address workforce shortages in the transportation sector.

Plus, Eastern Gateway Community College will pay $2.1 million to Student Resource Center to settle a federal lawsuit over its now-defunct free college benefit program.

And Aim Transportation Solutions hosted an educational event Tuesday in partnership with the Women in Trucking Association to introduce children to careers in the trucking industry.
