WARREN, Ohio – Youngstown State University reported a 2.2% increase in spring headcount enrollment compared with spring 2025, even as first-time undergraduate enrollment declined 51% following an influx of former Eastern Gateway Community College students last year.

Plus, Youngstown State University quarterback Beau Brungard will return for his final season, opting to stay with the Penguins amid widespread transfer portal movement.

And two additional lawsuits have been filed in connection with the May 2024 explosion at the former Realty Tower in downtown Youngstown.
