YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State University’s University Theatre will open its 2026-27 season this weekend with the darkly comic adventure “Ravenscroft.”
Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 2-3 and 9-10 and 2 p.m. Oct. 4 and 11 at Spotlight Theater in Bliss Hall.
“Ravenscroft” is a wickedly funny gothic mystery that will keep audiences guessing until the final twist.
The show, directed by Todd Dicken, centers on a remote manor, a suspicious death and a police inspector ready for answers. But instead, she finds herself surrounded by five women, each with a compelling motive and wildly different accounts of what actually happened.
With disguises, comic misdirection and plot twists, “Ravenscroft” is a theatrical puzzle box that rewards close attention – and a sense of humor.
The cast includes Merrill Voytko, Alex Shina, Samantha Cox, Chloe Camacho, Helena Snyder, Regina Escarcega and Karianne Rateno.
Adult tickets are $16. Discounts are available for seniors, alumni and children. YSU students with a valid ID get in free.
Parking is available in the Wick Avenue deck (M30) for $5, cash only.
