YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State University’s women’s basketball team enters the 2026-27 season with higher expectations after a record-setting year.

The Penguins went 25-10 last season, reached the Horizon League championship game and advanced to the Super 16 of the WNIT.

With seven players returning and several newcomers joining the roster, YSU is aiming for an NCAA Tournament appearance.
