YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Business students in the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University will gain hands-on career experience at the Professional Development Summit on Friday.

The event, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon in the Williamson Hall auditorium on campus, features five career-focused sessions led by 25 to 30 employers, alumni and faculty members. Sessions will address topics such as internships, leadership development, professional portfolios and employer expectations. Students will also have the opportunity to connect with industry professionals during a networking luncheon, gaining insight to help jump-start their careers. “The Professional Development Summit gives students the opportunity to learn directly from business leaders while building the confidence and connections needed to succeed in today’s workplace,” said Christina O’Connell, executive director of the WCBA Center for Career Management. “It allows our students to explore different career paths while preparing for what lies ahead.”
