CANFIELD, Ohio – Yurchyk & Davis CPAs reports year-to-year growth of over 10% in 2024, posting gains in employee benefit plan audits and payroll procedures.

The growth is expected to continue as the Canfield-based firm adds services for existing clients and acquires new ones, according to David A. Eyster, partner.

The firm’s team of auditors has become leaders in northeastern Ohio, performing audits of labor unions, employee benefit plans, nonprofit organizations and payrolls. It consists of Kristina Ross, Amy Hughes, Kyle Cirillo and Stephanie Straub.

Yurchyk & Davis added two staffers last year: Rachel Hall and John Maro. Office administrator Jamie Scragg keeps the ship running smoothly, Eyster says.

Two longtime employees, Jennifer Kurish and Arjean Spaite, retired in December.

“We have little turnover among employees, with an average of 20 years of service,” says Eyster.

Unlike the typical accounting firm, Yurchyk & Davis employees like to have fun by having office functions throughout the year.

In 2024, the staff had a catered or potluck office lunch once a month, multiple pool days at country clubs, and traveled to Cleveland twice for a Guardians game and a Cavaliers game.

The firm has its annual retreat at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course and Casino in Austintown every January, just before tax season. It celebrated Tax Day with an outing to Top Golf.

Yurchyk & Davis partners with Youngstown State University in hiring interns and has brought several on as full-time staff members.
