‘Dirty Dancing in Concert’ Coming to Packard Music Hall

WARREN, Ohio – “Dirty Dancing in Concert,” a live stage show featuring the music of the iconic film, will come to Packard Music Hall at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 21.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at Ticketmaster.com and the Packard box office.

An online-only presale will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday; use the password PACKARD.

The show includes a band and a full-size screen on which a digitally remastered version of the beloved 1987 movie will be shown. The band and singers will perform the hit songs live and in time with the movie.

The concert will be followed by an after-party, at which the audience is encouraged to sing and dance to the songs.

The film is set in the summer of 1963 at a resort in the Catskill Mountains, where Frances “Baby” Houseman (played by Jennifer Grey) meets and falls in love with Johnny (Patrick Swayze), who is a dancer at the resort.

The soundtrack spawned two multiplatinum albums and numerous singles, including the Academy Award-winning song “[I’ve Had] The Time of My Life.”
