• Venus Williams, tennis champion | Beeghly Center at Youngstown State University, 7 p.m. Free but tickets must be obtained in advance, and can be picked up at the YSU Athletic Office at Stambaugh Stadium beginning Sept. 16.

• Music at Noon series recital | Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, 12:15 p.m.
• Boardman High School orchestras fall pops concert | Boardman Performing Arts Center, 7 p.m.; $4 ($2 for students; free for senior citizens and children under 10).

Seasonal

• Trick or Treat at Eastwood Field in Niles | for children 12 and under, 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $1 and available at the Scrappers team office at Eastwood Field. Adults and children require a ticket.
• 2.5 Mile Spooky Sprint fun run (registration fee is $25) | Campbell Elementary/Middle School. Registration at 6 p.m., race at 7 p.m.; 330-519-3959. A run-walk for the community, wiht music, costumes and a trunk or treat for kids.
