Seagraves to Be Ordained to Transitional Diaconate

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – On May 25, the Most Rev. David J. Bonnar will ordain seminarian Travis Seagraves as transitional deacon for the Diocese of Youngstown.

Following ordination, the new deacon will be assigned to serve in diaconal ministry at Our Lady of Peace Parish in Ashtabula while he completes his final year of formation at the seminary in anticipation of expected ordination to the priesthood next year. In the fall, he will return to Saint Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology in Wickliffe to complete his priestly studies.

Seagraves, a son of Daniel and Cathy Seagraves, is a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Warren. He attended Howland schools and is a graduate of The Ohio State University, in addition to his current studies at Saint Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology.
