Vintage Ohio Wine Festival Seeks Volunteers

KIRTLAND, Ohio – The Vintage Ohio Wine Festival is looking for charity groups to do volunteer work and raise money for their favorite cause while doing so.

The festival, which takes place Aug. 2-3 at Lake Metroparks Farmpark, is seeking adults (age 18 and over) to work five-hour shifts pouring wine and cider, checking in vendors, helping at the front gate and other tasks.

Wine and cider pourers are most needed and will be scheduled in groups of two.

For the front gate, school groups and Scouts needing money for a trip or new uniforms are being sought. Youth groups are asked to have one adult for every 10 youths.

For each shift worked, Vintage Ohio will provide a commemorative T-shirt for the volunteer and a $40 check per person to their charity. Church and service groups, school bands or choirs, cheerleaders and sports teams that send a dozen or so volunteers can easily earn several hundred dollars in one afternoon or evening.
