Harrington, Hoppe Lawyer Speaking at Bankruptcy Event
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Frederick S. (Fritz) Coombs III, a creditors’ rights lawyer with Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell, Ltd., will be among the speakers at an upcoming Midwest bankruptcy conference.
Coombs will be part of a June 1 panel discussion at the O’Neill Great Lakes Bankruptcy Institute, scheduled for June 1-2 in Cleveland, on student loans and other debts that do not get discharged in bankruptcy. The annual event draws professionals who manage troubled companies, lawyers, bankers and accountants for seminars and discussions on a variety of bankruptcy issues.
The conference’s consumer law breakout session with Coombs is titled “Dischargeability and Exceptions: Chapter 7 vs. Chapter 13 Issues.”
Coombs has practiced law in Ohio for more than 40 years, is chair of the HHM creditors’ rights and bankruptcy practice group and is certified as a specialist in creditors’ rights law by the American Board of Certification. He graduated with honors from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Moritz College of Law of The Ohio State University.
