2019 Wagers at Hollywood Gaming Total $1.32B

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the 2019 calendar year, wagers at the Hollywood Gaming Mahoning Valley totaled $1.32 billion and winnings totaled $1.17 billion, according to data from the Ohio Lottery Commission.

The commission released its monthly report on the state’s seven racino sites Monday.

In December, wagers on video lottery terminals at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course were up 4.7% month-over-month in December, totaling $109,390,888. 

That figure is up from both November’s $104,467,485 and December 2018’s $105,319,627. 

Data from commission show the racino had a payout of 90.14%, with bettors taking home $97,096,990 last month, up from November’s $92,805,113 and December 2018’s  $93,815,054. The average video lottery terminal last month had a payout of $316 per day. 

Net winnings at the Austintown racino – wagers minus credits won and promotional pay credits – totaled $10,790,890. That number is an increase from November’s $10,031,531 and $10,065,474 in December 2018.

The commission for racino operator Penn National Gaming of Wyomissing, Pa., was $7,140,062. The lottery commission’s take was $3,614,948.

Across Ohio’s racinos in December, wagers total $1.04 billion and winnings $930.55 million in December. MGM Northfield led all sites with $248,527,978 wagered and $221,835,052 credits won.
