‘3 Minutes With:’ Second Harvest Food Bank
The Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley distributed food to 500 Warren residents. Mike Iberis, executive director of the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley, said the unemployment numbers in the area are still high and people are in need.
Iberis said food pantries have seen an approximate 40% increase since the area began dealing with COVID-19.
“So far we’ve been able to keep up, barely, but we’ve been able to keep up,” Iberis said. “And we’re just hopeful that it will continue through the summer.”
