Couple Donates Signs to Unify Columbiana Merchants
COLUMBIANA, Ohio – Chalk-painted signs that unify the look of Main Street here will provide merchants the opportunity to promote special events and sale items thanks to the generosity of two of their colleagues.
Rhonda and Matt Pahanish, owners of Primitive Gatherings, 2 E. Park Ave., will provide Main Street merchants with the chalk-painted signs – returning a “long ago Columbiana tradition to Main Street,” says April Brinker, president of the Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce.
The couple’s contribution is part of Rhonda’s involvement in the Columbiana Area Chamber, where she serves on the board of directors, and her efforts in support of the Columbiana First committee.
The committee’s focus, says Brinker, is on bringing foot-traffic to retail merchants and food establishments.
Primitive Gatherings is a gift shop that specializes in unusual home décor items.
