717 Credit Union Announces New Hires, Promotion

WARREN, Ohio – 717 Credit Union this week announced the hiring of three individuals: Melanie Christie, Jeovanna Padgett and Lori Lambert.

Christie has joined the credit union as director of compliance and security. Christie earned an associate degree from Kent State University. She will assist with the development, maintenance and governance of 717’s compliance program to ensure conformity and adherence with all applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and internal policies.

Padgett has joined 717 as information security officer. Padgett previously served as a systems security administrator. She earned a B.S. in computer networks and cybersecurity and a M.S. in digital forensics and cyber investigation. In her new position, she will manage 717’s Information Security Program, assist in protecting member’s information and the credit union against cybersecurity threats.

Lambert was recently promoted to director of strategy and business process management. Lambert earned a B.A. from the University of Akron and has been with 717 Credit Union for 29 years. As director, she will oversee implementation of the credit union’s strategic plan. Lambert will continue to lead the business process department and document management in developing processes to improve the credit union’s efficiency and productivity.
