717 Credit Union Partners with Kent State Athletics
WARREN, Ohio – 717 Credit Union announced Thursday that it is the official credit union and banking partner of Kent State University’s athletics program.
“717 Credit Union’s roots run deep in Kent, and this partnership is a sort of homecoming for us,” said John Demmler, 717 president and CEO. “717 Credit Union is the successor credit union to Kent State Credit Union, and we could not be more thrilled to expand upon our promise of delivering the best financial products and services to the students, faculty and staff of Kent State University and the broader community. For us, this is as ‘hometown’ as it gets.”
In addition to joint marketing and branding between the university and the credit union, the partnership will involve collaborative engagement with athletic events and broader community outreach.
“This is an exciting partnership opportunity for Kent State Athletics to align with an organization with roots in this area,” said Randale L. Richmond, vice president and director of athletics. “717 Credit Union has a motto of ‘people helping people.’ That epitomizes our mantra of ‘Flashes Take Care of Flashes,’ which permeates throughout our department. I’m looking forward to a positive and impactful relationship for all.”
