898 Marketing Promotes Collaboration with New Office

CANFIELD, Ohio — New office space allows 898 Marketing to create an environment that promotes productivity and collaboration by moving from the “typical” office setting, says Jeff Ryznar, president.

Rather than forcing employees to sit in cubicles from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 898 preferred an open environment designed by Office Furniture and Telephone Outlet, Youngstown. On July 16, the agency will hold a ribbon-cutting for its new space at 5721 Shields Road.

“Office spaces play a large role in positively impacting and enhancing a company’s culture; they will not create it,” Ryznar says. “Since starting 898 Marketing, we have endeavored to create a culture that emphasizes collaboration and creativity to effectively serve our clients and community with the highest level of excellence, honesty and integrity. With this established culture and significant growth of our client roster and team, we required a new location to showcase our culture by providing a place for us to succeed with the opportunity to continue to grow.”

898 moved into the office in June. The new space includes a fully equipped conference room for 10, waiting area, lounge area, more than 12 individual working areas, a full kitchen and a special room nicknamed “The Porch,” which allows team members to take a few minutes of downtime to “zone out,” relax, stretch, or even meditate, Ryznar says. Walls are decorated with inspirational quotes selected by employees to further foster the agency’s team-centric culture, he says.

Other features include dry erase walls and multiple televisions throughout, as well as an homage to Ryznar’s father-in-law and grandfather, who were inspirational to him starting and growing 898 Marketing, now in its fifth year, he says.

898 looks to use the space to host larger client meetings and informational events for local media, including public training sessions on topics to help businesses and young professionals continue to grow on their own.

A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for July 16 at 12:30 p.m., followed by a private event for employees, family and friends.
