Mercy Health Honored for Employee Wellness Program
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Bon Secours Mercy Health, the parent company of Mercy Health-Youngstown, has been honored for its employee wellness programs.
The health-care company was among the 39 American companies presented with the Business Group on Health’s 2020 Best Employers: Excellence in Health & Well-Being Silver Award.
Mercy’s Be Well employee program is designed to create environments that make the right behaviors easy and provide resources to guide healthy behaviors. Employees and eligible spouses have access to online coaching, webinars, activity tracking, challenges and health management programs. To encourage participation in the outcomes-based program, Bon Secours Mercy Health offers a Health Reimbursement Account and a yearly sweepstakes.
“Bon Secours Mercy Health’s vision to be where associates want to work, clinicians want to practice, people seek wellness and communities thrive starts with associates being their best self,” said Bon Secours Mercy Health chief human resources officer Joe Gage in a statement. “The well-being program, Be Well, helps guide associates on their personal and lifelong journey to good health and well-being.”
The 2020 Best Employer award winners were honored at the Business Group’s virtual Workforce Strategy 2020 Conference.
“On behalf of the entire Business Group, I’d like to congratulate Bon Secours Mercy Health on being named a best employer for excellence in health and well-being,” said President and CEO Ellen Kelsey. “This year was especially difficult for companies as they faced many challenges to keep their workers engaged, productive and healthy.
