Primanti Offers Active Military, Veterans Free Sandwiches
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – From 4 p.m. to closing time Wednesday, Primanti Brothers will give all active military and veterans a free sandwich in honor of Veteran’s Day.
No additional purchase will be necessary, the restaurant said in a release.
“Our veteran’s and active duty military have made a commitment to serve us,” said Toni Haggerty, general manager of the original Primanti Brothers location in a release. “This is our way of serving them.”
The offer is valid at almost all locations, including the the Boardman restaurant 6731 South Ave. The only shop where the offer is not valid is Consol Energy Center in downtown Pittsburgh.
Proof of service is required for the free sandwich. Acceptable proof includes U.S. uniform services identification card, U.S. uniform services retired identification card, a current leave and earnings statement, veterans organization card, a photograph in uniform, DD214, citation, commendation or wearing a uniform.
