Lordstown Motors Donates Robot to MCCTC

CANFIELD, Ohio – Lordstown Motors Corp. has donated a robot to Mahoning County Career and Technical Center.

The Fanuc robot will be used to train students and help them earn industry certifications, said superintendent John Zehentbauer in a statement. 

“This generous donation fits perfectly into our current advanced manufacturing and STEM programs,” he said. “We currently teach Fanuc certifications, so this piece of equipment will certainly enhance what we are exposing our students to.”

Fanuc America Corp. is one of the country’s top makers of robots used in factory automation and CNC machining.

The robot will also be used by the MCCTC Adult Career Center, which works with area manufacturers to offer customized training to their employees.
