Hollywood Gaming VLT Play Drops for 4th Straight Month
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Wagers at Hollywood Gaming Mahoning Valley Race Course’s video lottery terminals fell for the fourth straight month in November, with $91.7 million bet.
That figure is down from October’s $114.3 million and the $104.5 million wagered in November 2019. After the racing was closed by state order because of the COVID-19 pandemic from March 14 through June 19, monthly wagers peaked at $117.4 million in August.
In November, $81.4 million credits were won and $1.4 million in promotional play credits were provided. Net win – credits played minus credits won and promotion play credits – was $8.8 million, a payout percent of 90.4%.
The Austintown racino averaged 1,123 operational VLTs per day, with average daily winnings per machine of $261.
The commission for Penn National Gaming, which operates Hollywood Gaming, was $5.8 million, while the Ohio Lottery Commission’s take was $2.9 million. Of the net win, $29,279 went to the lottery commission’s Problem Gambling Services.
At Ohio’s seven VLT sites, wagers totaled $832.4 million. MGM Northfield Park led all sites with $171.6 wagered, followed by Eldorado Gaming Scioto Downs with $142.7 million. Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course ranked sixth among the sites for credits played.
