FNB Closing 21 Branches, including Farrell Site
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – F.N.B. Corp., the parent company of First National Bank, is closing 21 bank branches, including 16 in its home state, the company said on its quarterly earnings call Wednesday.
The only local branch affected is at 1030 Indiana Ave. in Farrell.
The other branches in Pennsylvania that are closing are in Altoona, Belle Vernon, Burnham, Erie, Jamestown, Johnstown, Lemoyne, Lower Burrell, Harrisburg, Montoursville, Nanticoke, New Brighton, Rockwood, State College.
The four other sites to be closed are in Bridgeport, Ohio, Baltimore and Columbiana, Reidsville and Walkertown, N.C.
More details on the closures will be provided in a press release issued Thursday, said Jennifer Reel, director of corporate communications, in an email to The Business Journal.
Over the past five years, FNB has closed about 95 offices.
In a statement to the Pittsburgh Business Times, Reel said the branches would be consolidated and that “we are committed to ensuring that our customers’ banking needs continue to be met without disruption through a variety of channels,” including branches, online and mobile banking tools, and “Smart ATMs” that allow users to talk with tellers via video chat.
Nationwide, FNB has 350 branches across seven states and Washington, D.C. At the end of the third quarter, it reported $37 billion in assets.
