WRTA Offers Free Fares through June 30
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Western Reserve Transit Authority will extend free fares on its buses through June 30, 2021.
The free fare policy applies to all WRTA bus services in Mahoning and Trumbull counties, including fixed routes, ADA All-Access, countywide and late night service.
“During the pandemic, we want to make it as easy as possible for Valley residents to use the bus to get to their jobs, essential grocery shopping and medical appointments,” said WRTA Executive Director Dean Harris.
Passengers on all WRTA buses must wear face coverings and fixed route buses must be boarded from the rear door (except for riders using wheelchairs or those with strollers). More information about WRTA services is available at WRTAonline.com.
