Goodwill Opens Store, Donation Center in Greenville
GREENVILLE, Pa. — Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries opened its 10th store and donation center in Greenville, Pa., experiencing a successful opening weekend.
Mark Goloja, Youngstown Area Goodwill CEO, noticed an increase in new customers registering for Goodwill’s rewards program and existing ones traveling to Greenville this past weekend. With 20,000 square feet of space, the Greenville location, 25 Williamson Road, is the largest in the Goodwill Youngstown network.
“We are so humbled by the warm welcome we have received,” Goloja said in a statement. “We appreciate the support that both the Greenville community and our customers have shown us.”
Goodwill Greenville features a donation center in addition to a substantial selection of clothing, housewares, furniture, shoes, accessories, books, media and more.
The revenue generated from the sale of these goods directly supports Goodwill’s mission and workforce development programs and services. Greenville plans to implement some of those workforce initiatives. The nonprofit looks to expand employment and training opportunities for those with disabilities or other barriers.
“We look forward to eventually utilizing part of the space to further serve the area and provide valuable training and resources that some individuals may need to seek employment.” Goloja said. “For now, we are focused on the retail side, but are very optimistic about the potential.”
Goodwill Greenville is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
