Artist Applications Open for Summer Festival of the Arts

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Organizers of Youngstown State University’s Summer Festival of the Arts are now accepting artist applications for this years show, set for July 9 and 10. The early deadline is April 4, but applications for the juried show will be accepted until all available spaces are filled.

Each application requires a $20 jury fee and, if an artist is accepted, a booth fee of $100 is required. No tables are available for rent and all artists at the show must be selected by the jury.

Last year’s festival featured more than 80 artists and was held in conjunction with several other events in and around downtown Youngstown, including the Downtown Jazz Fest, the 2DE Gospel Fest and the Festival of Nations.

“The Summer Festival of the Arts has become an anchor event for a weekend- long series of activities in our community,” said festival coordinator Lori Factor “We’re grateful to the community for supporting the arts over the years, as well as to the artists who have exhibited and sold their artwork. We are looking forward to the variety of activities planned to celebrate the 18th year of bringing great art to the Valley.”

Applications are available on the festivals website, YSU.edu/sfa, or by emailing Factor at [email protected].
