Southern Park Mall Expands Hours

BOARDMAN, Ohio – The Southern Park Mall will add an extra evening hour to its Monday through Saturday operating hours.

Beginning May 1, the mall will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. It currently closes at 7 p.m. Sunday hours will remain 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The extra hour is “a step closer to our normal hours before COVID,” said Christina Cleary, marketing director for the mall. “We’re getting there.”

Before the pandemic, the mall was open until 9 p.m. six days a week.

Also on May 1, the mall will welcome its newest retailer, Macy’s Backstage, with a 9 a.m. ribbon cutting. Macy’s Backstage is located on the second floor, inside of Macy’s. It is an off-price boutique for clothing and housewares with an ever-changing inventory that reflects current trends.

In addition, The Idora Park Experience will be set up in the mall’s Center Court from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 1. It will display some of the most iconic artifacts of the old Idora Park amusement park, and guests can climb inside ride cars for photographs. More information can be found HERE.
