White House Fruit Farm Donates $3,060 to Local Veterans
CANFIELD, Ohio – White House Fruit Farm raised $3,060 from its annual 5K cross country to benefit local veterans.
The money was donated to the Youngstown VA Food Bank and will provide 306 bags of groceries and over 6,000 meals within the Mahoning Valley.
The Youngstown VA Food Bank program is a volunteer veteran-run food pantry. To qualify for food, veterans must be registered with the VA medical program and show identification.
The race took place May 1 on the farm and through the orchards. White House’s farm market is at 9249 Youngstown Salem Road (U.S. Route 62).
