YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Nicolinni’s Ristorante announced it was closing for good this week after 14 years in business.
On Wednesday, owners Patrick and Stephanie Lavanty announced the closure in a Facebook post.
The Austintown restaurant, at 1912 S. Raccoon Road, remains open for carry out and indoor dining will return soon. READ MORE
Lordstown Motors Faces 11 Class Action Lawsuits
LORDSTOWN, Ohio – The list of shareholder lawsuits filed against electric-vehicle manufacturer Lordstown Motors Corp. and its current or former executives continues to grow.
The latest lawsuit was filed July 9 in U.S. District Court in Delaware, making it the 11th class-action complaint brought against the company or its executives since March. Seven of these complaints were filed in U.S. District Court in Youngstown and four of them are now consolidated. READ MORE
Marvin Withdraws Proposal to Redevelop 20 Federal Place
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Downtown Development Group is no longer interested in redeveloping 20 Federal Place.
The company, which has redeveloped several buildings in downtown Warren, also likely will not bid on the Chase Building when it goes up for auction next month, though its president did not rule out working with a potential successful bidder to develop the property.
The city’s consultant permitted Desmone, a Pittsburgh-based architectural firm, to submit a proposal two weeks later after the company had requested additional time. The city is still evaluating that proposal. READ MORE
Youngstown Council to Consider $550,000 Sale of Former Call Center
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown City Council will consider next week whether to enter into a lease/sale agreement for the former AT&T call center building at 2933 Salt Springs Road.
The legislation, which council members will take up at a special meeting scheduled for Wednesday, calls for entering into a lease agreement of up to three years with an entity identified only as Kempthorn, with a guarantee to purchase the property for $550,000. READ MORE
