Youngstown Hosts ARP Input Sessions Aug. 10, 17
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown City Council members will conclude their listening sessions on how to use the city’s American Rescue Plan funds with meetings Aug. 10 and 17.
On Aug. 10, Fourth Ward councilman Mike Ray will host a session in the pavilion at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 39 Laird Street. And on Aug. 17, Second Ward councilman Jimmy Hughes will host a session at the McGuffey Center, 1649 Jacobs Road. Both sessions begin at 6 p.m.

City council members, as well as members of Mayor Jamael Tito Brown’s administration and the planning team, will be on hand to gather feedback from residents and neighborhood groups about how to best use the $82.7 million allocated to the city.
The city received the first half of its funding in May and expects to receive the remainder in 2022.
A listening session for seniors and youths in the city will be announced in the coming weeks.
