The Beauty Boutique Opens Storefront in Boardman

BOARDMAN, Ohio — Last November, with the pandemic still going strong, a lot of small businesses were going under. But Nicci Farris, who already had a successful hair styling and eyelash practice, along with her sister-in-law Kelli Catullo, believed it was the perfect time to start a new business.

That new business was The Beauty Boutique. The Beauty Boutique began selling women’s clothing via Facebook Live and operated out of the basement of Nicci’s Canfield Township home.

Starting with fewer than 20 local customers, The Beauty Boutique now has over 2,000 customers nationwide. The amazing growth made the home location impractical and the partners wanted a retail location.

Today the shop opened at its new storefront location, 4845 Market St. It will hold an open house from 4 to 8 p.m. and again tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

What’s special about the clothes that is sold by The Beauty Boutique? “We want to bring unique, but affordable fashion to women across the country,“ says Farris. “We have boutique styles that you don’t see around much, and most people are pleasantly surprised by our prices.”

While having a physical location open to the public two days a week, the owners continue to grow their online business to bring these styles directly to the consumer for a relaxed shopping experience. Regular hours are Fridays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 22 p.m.

“We try to get in both fashionable and timeless pieces that appeal to many women.” says co-founder Catullo. “Currently, we stock sizes XS to 3X.”

Grand opening visitors who bring a donation for Project MKC will be entered in a special raffle.

The Beauty Boutique can be found on Facebook and Instagram or visit their website at BeautyBoutique.CommentSold.com.
