Hollywood Gaming Sees $141M in VLT Wagers in August
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Video lottery terminal play at Hollywood Gaming Mahoning Valley Race Course fell by nearly $13 million in August from the previous month, as $141.16 million was wagered.
In July, there was $154.29 million in credits played at the Austintown racing, while August 2020 saw $117.45 million played on the digital slot machines.
Winnings totaled $125.86 million, with $1.92 million in promotional play credits awarded, a payout rate of 90.52%.
The net win – the revenues remaining after the payout of prizes – was $13.37 million. Of that, $8.85 million was paid to racing operator Penn National Gaming, $4.48 million to the Ohio Lottery Commission and $44,474 to Problem Gambling Services. There were $3,592 in unclaimed credit vouchers.
Statewide, VLT play in Ohio’s seven casinos totaled $1.224 billion in August, down from $1.324 in July and up from $1.009 billion in August last year. Among the sites, MGM Northfield had the highest level of credits played with $255.25 million.
