VLT Wagers Total $140.9M in October
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Betting on video lottery terminals at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course in October was up about $1 million from the month before.
The most recently monthly reports from the Ohio Lottery Commission, which oversees VLTs in the state, show $140.9 million wagered on the terminals at the Austintown racino last month, compared with $139.9 million in September.
In October 2020, VLT play totaled $114.3 million.
Winnings for last month totaled $125.4 million, up from the $125.1 million in September, and from the $101.9 million in October 2020.
Net win – the remainder when winnings and promotional play credits are subtracted from credits played – totaled $13.4 million in October, up from $10.7 million a year earlier and $2.9 million in September.
Of net win, Penn-National Gaming Inc., which operates the racino, received $8.8 million, up from $8.5 million the month before and $7.1 million in October 2020.
The lottery commission’s share of net win was $4.5 million, compared with $4.3 million the month before and $3.6 million a year earlier.
