Westminster Finance Major Interns with Global Consulting Firm
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – A Westminster College senior finance major was one of a dozen virtual interns across the country in 2021 for Resources Global Professionals, a publicly traded mid-sized management consulting firm.
Lauryn Todd of Lisbon, Ohio, went out of her comfort zone to take on an eight-week virtual internship over the summer supporting RPG’s Southern California and Hawaii revenue teams. Todd specifically updated data housed in the company’s sales platform, Salesforce.
During the course of the eight weeks, Todd was tasked with researching nearly 6,000 client accounts to validate that RPG had the correct information in the database. She successfully completed 4,000 account updates and then created a step-by-step guide for the next person in her role.
After her internship was complete, Todd led a training session within the company for the revenue team to create sustainable business practices regarding updates of client account data.
“The financial analyst program [at Westminster] was great at preparing me for this internship experience,” says Todd. “It taught me to do a lot of digging online and how to ask questions about what I was finding.”
